    Hey everyone,

I have been studying for FAR for the past two months. Every day I do a two sets of MCQ’s of 33 questions each and I keep trending in the 60’s. I keep getting the same questions wrong and my brain really can’t comprehend many of the same concepts.

My study schedule consists of reviewing FAR for 5 hours and studying AUD for 3-4 hours each day. I start working August 1st and I plan on taking FAR the end of next month. Should I leave AUD alone for now and just focus on nailing FAR for 8 hours each day? Or should I take advantage of the free time to go through the AUD modules during this next month?

I would suggest you focus on one exam at a time. Far does bleed into audit, but focus only on FAR. If you are having trouble on certain topics try working more problems, revisit the study materials for that topic, reference your accounting textbook. At a certain point you do have to move on to the next topic though.

    AUD - 64, 80 Passed on 10/09/17

    BEC - 75 Passed on 12/09/17

    FAR - 69, 71, 73, 83 Passed on 06/10/18

    REG - 81 Passed on 09/10/17

Finish ALL of the FAR material, do the MCQ for each section as finish the section. Leave yourself 2-3 weeks to do only MCQs. I shot for 150/day during the last 3 weeks before my test. MCQ, MCQ, MCQ. Go to Audit after you pass FAR, not concurrently.

    AUD - 78
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - 88
    REG - 81

I agree, just focus on FAR. For the questions you keep getting wrong, make sure you understand why the answer is wrong– read the explanation/solution and actually write down why the correct one is right and why the other options were wrong. I like to keep two separate sets of notes – one on the full material and one just on the MCQs, which ends up being more like bullet points of nuggets I want to remember. And if there are certain topics specifically where you are scoring low, go back to your lectures/textbook/notes and review those before you do more questions.
Best of luck 🙂 FAR is definitely an uphill climb

    FAR - 85 (12/17)
    AUD - 80 (1/18)
    REG - 83 (6/18)
    BEC - 85 (7/18)

    Ethics - 95

    DONE DONE DONE DONE
