Hi Community, I’m being silly for not knowing, but when you schedule an exam by sumbitting the Remittence Form from your board of accountancy, do you need to select multiple exams? I took my first end of April and am planning to schedule the next one but didn’t see how. On my BOA account (Cali), I have to option to sumbit the Remittence form again for a fee of $50 as a repeat candidate. Is it how it works?

Your NTS is only good for the exams you select, you should select the ones that you think you will be taking in the next 9 month period. A new application is required for each NTS and while it doesn't take as long as your original application for CA i've heard it takes about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks @Jducky! I was not aware of this rule. Guess the additional $50 is down the drain now. Bummer

I'm from Cali too. You need to re-submit the form again as a repeating candidate ($50) and when they give you the OK within a few weeks, you have the option to choose which tests to take. I suggest choosing at least 2 since the time frame they give you is huge.

    Hi All –

This may be a silly question but I have heard from a few people now that if you fail a section of the exam, say AUD, in a testing window you can retake that same exam in the same testing window as long as you receive your scores in time to apply for a new NTS and to schedule the exam. I didn't think this was true but wasn't sure if there has been a change to the rules?

    Thanks

You many only take each section once per testing window. If you take AUD on 1/1/2019 and receive your score on 2/8/19 (e.g.) and find out that you failed. Then you re-register for AUD, once you receive that NTS, the start date would be 4/1/2019 since that is the earliest you can take the exam.
