Anyone fulfill the NY educational requirement of 33 acctg hours without getting their masters? Looking for the cheapest online schools that offer accounting classes that people have used to become certified. I heard LSU is a good option but hoping to find others that people have used.

I took “Accounting Research” at DeVry as well as “Fraud Auditing and Forensic Accounting” at LSU. Both were relatively easy and straightforward. From what I recall – DeVry wasn't the cheapest option, but it was worth it. I'm sure there are other options out there, but this is the route that I took. Hope this helps!

This might not be for you, @Shivp45, but I completed all of the prerequisites without a bachelor degree in Accounting.

My original BA is in journalism. So I took 68 additional credits at a community college and a SUNY to reach 150.

I decided to enroll in a MST program because I want to advance.
