    It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

    @cleethree

    They finally got me thru at 12 pm. Before that, phones were down.

    At this rate, I will be licensed early February (finger crossed) since my application was sent to the board on 11/3/17. It literally takes 4 months to be licensed. Hopefully, once you're licensed, they will send an email/certificate out to let us know.

    @Bourne LMAO they are literally ducking and diving away from applicants at this point.

    @cleethree

    @Tk3513 I should be, but I am unsure. My boss received an e-mail yesterday saying that he should be registered with NYS as a sole proprietor because of NYS CPA regulations. Even though most of the work I did was tax preparation and bookkeeping services which my boss sent in a letter to explicitly clarify, I am unsure if they will completely discredit my experience under him. So I am very worried and NYS still hasn't responded to my e-mail regarding the status of my application.

    Basically I'm praying at this point.

    @cleethree Is your boss an NY CPA? I just feel nervous. My boss is a CA CPA and working in CA. I am not sure the board will ask him to register with NYS in the near future or not….Will this be a long process? Any sharing appreciated!

    I got the e-mail saying my application was approved and in the processing unit 3 for final review!!!! I should get my license in the mail in the next several weeks, but I can check online for my license number.

    I am so happy this is finally over. Thank you sweet baby Jesus lol.

    Good luck @Tk3513 and everyone else who is dealing with this ridiculous wait. I will let you guys know when my number is in the online system.

    Congrats! I don't get the NYS, if the license is approved why bother send it again for final review. Isn't that a bit too redundant IMO. That is more waiting time for people to actually receive the license in the mail. @cleethree when was your application sent again to the Board. 10/24?

    @miamia He does, but I guess it didn't matter in regards to my application. He sent in another Form 4B and explanation letter that broke down the services I did under his supervision by percentage. The only restricted service I did was Compilation, which was about 10% of the overall work I did under him. So I assumed they discredited that, but accepted everything else and since I've worked here about 8 years I was well over the 1 year experience requirement.
