    It used to be about 3 months. Anyone know if that’s changed? Thanks!

    @se98 Oh my God – 5 months!! That's crazy! I was hoping to get licensed by December this year. This is so unfair after all we go through with the exams and the education requirements.

    So I completed the application and submitted the fees. The NY coordinator approved my 150 credits and submitted to the board. Now, my boss is taking a long time to sign the experience verification. I have been asking for 2 weeks and there is a different excuse every time. I really do not want to pressure, but for some weird reason, we are going into the 3rd week of me asking for this signature… After studying passing and failing and passing again, I really would like to get this over with. I wonder why is this taking my boss so long??

    I am not sure if you work in tax, but perhaps the September 15th deadline for corps and partnerships is taking up his time.
    I am not sure how I would handle this if I were in your shoes, except to fill out the form with all relevant information except the signature, and go in his office with the form in hand and ask him to review and sign it. Tread lightly.

    Congrats on getting the approval, Recked. Must be nice to have moved on to the next phase. Good luck with studying/exam performance!

    @ReckedRacing

    Thank you for the support. I filled in the application with all relevant info. I even looked up his license number online because that was one of the excuses he gave me. But, since I gave the almost fully completed application, it has been dark silence. I work for a non-profit org., so I know its not like he has a huge amount of work to do. The annual audit started today and I wonder if he thinks I am going to quit once he signs it. I am not going to quit once he signs it, but the fact that he is delaying this entire process for no apparent reason makes me want to quit.

    My form 4B was scanned on 8/24/17. I was advised over the phone that it would take 4-6 weeks for the board to review. I'm glad I checked here as it seems I'm in for a much longer wait time. Looks like about 125 day lag, which is terrible. The home stretch just got a lot longer.

    @Mrspaceace251

    Can this application be scanned? I through it was through mail only. Did yo scan it to the NYS Board? If so, could you please share the info for the scanning?

    Many thanks!!

    I mailed my form in. They scan it into their system once received. Sorry for any confusion.

    @ReckedRacing

    Thank you!! Well, he said he would mail it in today… I made everything super easy for him. I even gave him the envelope with the stamp. I do not want him to say he did not have a stamp and had to delay it one more week LOL!!

    You must be new to this “post office” game.
    You NEVER mail ANYTHING to NYS without a tracking number or some type of proof of delivery.
    God Speed to your Form 4B.

    All of my documents were sent USPS overnight (with default tracking).
    I have 15 years of USPS horror stories under my belt relating to client tax payments and mailed documents etc.
    Good luck!

    @ReckedRacing,

    Oh my God do not scare me!! My soul cannot take another stab related to this CPA license process. On that note, if the form was to get lost, my boss would be so happy to give me his disproving eyes and then take another month to sign another form.

    I'm sure it will be fine.
    Give it a week and then call or email the board to be sure it was received.
    Things are slow as molasses in Albany.

    So what review course did you use? Hours of study? Any tips?
