I'M DONE!!! Passed FAR and REG right before my BEC was about to expire (for the second time). This has been a long journey (nearly 5 years) since graduating from college and starting work at a public accounting firm. All I have to say to everyone is please do not give up!! I don't have all my exam attempts listed on my signature but I will say I was close to giving up if I didn't pass these two exams. This was my third attempt for BOTH FAR and REG and if I had failed one or both I would have been close to starting over since my AUD expired in April 2019. I was able to cram these two big exams in using ROGER CRAM Course, it was worth the $$$!
This past year has been one of the most difficult yet and I had to make the tough decision to leave the firm where I started working after college in hopes of being able to have more time to study to complete the exam. I would stress to anyone working on the exam to do what is best FOR YOU! I had worked at this firm for over 4 years and it was one of the hardest decisions I had to make to leave. I had worked so hard to build relationships with people at the firm and worked my way up from being a clueless level 1 to a Senior Associate that everyone wanted on their jobs. While it was difficult to leave this place I called ‘home' I was very honest with the Partners and Managers about why I was leaving and that I was doing this for myself and the future of my career. I knew I would not have been able to pass if I had stayed another busy season and let my exams roll off. The firm was extremely understanding of the position I was in and I had multiple Partners and Managers email me after I left saying they appreciated the honesty about why I was leaving. Every single person was extremely supportive. I will stress that it is important to be honest with people you work with and mostly to be honest with yourself and to understand your strengths and your limits, do not lose faith in yourself.
Do not give up! Keep studying, find whatever it is that helps you stay focused on the end goal and most importantly, do not be so hard on yourself! Some people can pass on first attempts with little to no study time and some need years of studying to scrape by with a 75 (me). Use your resources – friends, relatives, coworkers, bosses, etc. to help, most likely someone you know has been through or is going through a similar process! Every single person can offer some sort of support – whether it be sharing exam resources like flashcards or audio tapes, or the emotional support from your friends and family. You can do it guys! Congratulations to all that have passed!February 26, 2019 at 3:40 pm #2234055
Passed BEC with an 88, and FAR with an 84. It took me 7 months and 5 attempts to pass all sections.
Don't give up, I thought I had no chance after pretty much each exam. You never know how you scored until you actually see your score!March 7, 2019 at 12:13 pm #2253807

I can't believe I get to post in this thread!!
Just got my BEC result this morning: 90!
After a 2 full night semesters of taking grad classes to get my 150 hours, then 16 months of tests, I can now say that I have passed all four sections.
All after taking 20 years off from undergrad accounting classes.
Now the ethics test, then finishing up my first year of accounting job duties by the end of this month, and I can say that I am a CPA!March 18, 2019 at 9:06 pm #2271144

I have not posted in the forums yet, but would like to write about how I approached the exams for anyone who is struggling.
I used Wiley to study along with Ninja Audio/flash cards as my main Ninja supplements. For all of the exams I found the best approach for me, was to take notes on the lessons and then update them after working the review problems. Along with taking notes, I also made sort of a mind-map of how all of the concepts related. Once I had a better understanding of the concepts, I made my own flash cards to add to the review. From there I mainly reviewed with flash cards, Ninja Audio, Mind maps and working every problem available.
I also spent a decent amount of time with the authoritative literatures, learning the formats and reviewing the literature on some the material presented in the lessons.
Thanks Another71 and Jeff!March 19, 2019 at 10:28 pm #2273961
Passed BEC, I'm done! No more school or books for me. lolMarch 20, 2019 at 11:50 pm #2275845

Asking for a FriendParticipant
I Passed I'm Done! Congrats to all that came before and all that shall come after.
Used Ninja only – can't thank Jeff & co enough. I don't work directly in accounting, but my general business/finance related work experience helped. My scores weren't great but I was 4 for 4 and always outperformed my trending score. I was trying to get done ASAP, not ace them 🙂
Would suggest to any aspiring candidates to do some sims. You're crazy not to do official CPA practice exam. I copied notes, watched occasional plus video during meals, hit the MCQs until got them to where I wanted (approx 70%), and took all practice exams and the official CPA MCQs on ninja site. Would recommend exclusively Ninja to anyone I come across: Efficient, value / fair and staggered pricing based off needs, and it works.March 27, 2019 at 8:49 pm #2286429
Congratulations to all who passed. I remember the feeling!!March 28, 2019 at 5:46 pm #2287230
