I waiting until last minute to apply for FAR on the NASBA website because it usually takes 2-3 days to clear, but the website says due to overwhelming apps it could take up to 6 weeks!!!!! Has anyone else recently applied to get their NTS number? How long did it take? I’m reading to take FAR now its going to be an exam change if I don’t make the window …. wow

I applied a few weeks ago for REG and saw that same disclosure but I had my NTS next day. I think that is more for people applying for eligibility to take the exam for the first time than people just requesting another NTS.

That message has been up on their website for quite a few months now. Just get your application in ASAP. I highly doubt it's going to take them that long to issue an NTS.

I ran into the same issue for Q3 of 2016.. I was going to do audit in Q3, then BEC at the start of Q4, and REG at the end of Q4

then I saw that it “could take up to 6 weeks”, panicked and cancelled audit and decided to just go full bore into studying for reg.

only to have that NTS approved within 3 weeks… I ended up losing a test window because I took NASBA seriously. Live and learn..

based on my experience, you should be fine
