    Hey Ninjas!

So I’m retaking FAR on Monday. I took it last quarter for the first time (my first exam ever) and scored a 62. I completed the entire Becker course and Becker Final Review. As I was studying, I felt like I got the most out of the Final Review but clearly I was lacking in some areas. I purchased Ninja for the past two months and have read the notes numerous times, watched and taken notes on all the Blitz videos, and have skimmed the book and used it to reinforce topics I don’t feel comfortable with. Right now, I’m working on getting through the Ninja MCQ. I was planning to go back through my Becker textbook and final review book as well because I really prefer having a physical book in front of me.

Any advice on what I should do this final week? I’ve already taken the AICPA practice exam and the released questions. I did that before my actual exam and scored way higher on the practice exam than the actual. In my opinion, it made me have a false sense of confidence. Should I focus on SIMS with Ninja/Becker or just MCQ? I haven’t touched the Ninja SIMS yet but I remember during my exam thinking the SIMS from Becker did not compare. I remember I studied up until the hour before my exam last time and while I was in the testing room I felt focused but not as focused and alert as I would have liked. I was definitely exhausted, so I want to avoid that and feel as alert and focused as I can come test time (12:30pm on Monday). I am really hoping to pass this time but it seems so out of reach to me to go from a 62 to a 75. Any words of advice/encouragement would be appreciated!

I would just do unlimited MCQs and try to gauge which is still my weak area and go over the notes to understand the concept. You can do set of 30 questions or even 20 or 10. I will definitely go over few SIMS for timing. I would not study the day of exam. FAR is beast of all exams , the only thing I did on day my exam is just go over some notes to keep some concepts fresh. Good you already took AICPA practice exam (would have recommended that). Get enough sleep day before your exam so that you don't feel tired or exhausted on the day of exam. Good luck, I am sure you got this!!!

Yeah do as many MCQ as possible. But don't just do MCQ. Review your weaknesses, review your notes, etc. Take it easy on the day and before and day of your exam. The last thing you want to do is wear yourself out before the test. That happened to me the first time and didn't go well.
