Passed CPA exam, haven't gotten license yet, can I still get employed at Big 4?

    So I passed the exam, but haven’t yet gotten my License (still getting everything together for the application).

    Is it possible to get hired by the big 4 firms as an experienced candidate in the mean time (I’d be happy to be picked up by 5-10 as well, some of them have better perks/benefits to make up for lower prestige)?

    I have over 5 years experience in public accounting (small firms), but would like to move into one of the big firms.

    So far only form letter rejections, so is this case of needing the CPA first or should I keep on trying?
