    Hello,

I am a 20 year old junior in a 5-year Integrated MAcc program at a large target school. I have begun the process of recruiting for Big 4 audit and will hopefully be an intern next Spring before coming back to school for year five.

I am in the unique position of reaching 120 credits after 3 years in college (once this semester ends) and will be allowed to sit for the exam in my State of choice this summer (no degree necessary). My goal is to finish the exam before I graduate. Currently, I am cruising through Intermediate II and will have taken at least one class in tax, audit, cost, etc. I am a strong test taker and believe that the momentum from the Intermediate courses will help me this summer. Obviously, I will not have taken many of the graduate level ACCTG courses yet (think forensic, advanced acctg, entity taxation, etc) which might be the only reason I consider waiting on the exam.

My plan is FAR/AUD this summer and REG/BEC the summer after. Which study course is best for someone who is already in academic mode and wants to pass quickly? I don’t have many obligations over the summer other than Summer Leadership Programs and part time work. I want to be able to start in public with no exam on my plate!!

How does one in my position best tackle the exam?

    Thank you for any tips/advice.

    AUD - 89
    BEC - NINJA in Training
    FAR - 87
    REG - NINJA in Training
    FAR: Passed 4/19 - Becker (2 weeks, 25 hours)

    AUD: Passed 5/19 - Becker (4 days, 20 hours)

You don't need any sort of graduate level classes to pass this exam. Everything you need know is in the review course, pick on that best suits your learning and flow with it.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82
    FAR - 74 first attempt

While it seems like a good idea….if you intern at a Big 4, you will ~more than likely~ get a FT offer. They will give you Becker for free – which is huge. Most Big 4 have a partnership with Becker.

My situation is like yours. I got 144 credits in 4 years. I took 2 classes in the fall and graduated in December. I interned with a Big 4 and will be starting this fall. So, technically on a 5 year track I would still be in school right now.

Maybe hold off and then use the course provided to you after your internship? Then study and pass during your fifth year?
