    Hi everyone,

I’m in a situation now where I’ll lose AUD if I don’t pass reg this quarter (it’s my last exam). I have 6/7 weeks to study. Should I focus mainly on tax and skin business law? I’m planning on reading the book twice, then doing ninja mcq for the last 2 weeks/Becker sims. If you passed, how did you do it? I haven’t passed an exam on the first attempt with any of the sections, but really need to with this section.

    Thanks!

While tax makes up a majority of the exam according to the AICPA outlines, I do not recommend an approach that involves “skimming” anything. In my eyes, it's all fair game and equally as important. While I haven't passed REG yet, I've learned that the hard way with other exams. Just my .02.

Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, "Move from here to there," and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.

This was the only section I passed on the first try. I took about 8 weeks and read the Ninja books, listened to the audio on the sections I'd read and kept building that, then answered MCQs on each section.

This time around (since I list the credit earlier this year), I'm just hammering MCQs and will read or watch videos on my weak areas. Just make sure you understand the concepts. Good luck!

@jennifer thanks. Hearing someone say reg is the only one they passed first try is reassuring. Legit only have one shot at this exam.

don't bother with b law. that was the strategy for me and my three friends. very few questions and i don't think you ever get sims on it. but material wise in becker it takes as long as the tax portion to get through and it's super confusing. there's so much info in there and hard to nail down all the rules and laws. concentrate on tax and master it. print out all the tax forms referenced throughout mcq and review and review it some more. it really helps and helped us all pass.

    AUD - 75
    REG - 64, 77

    Finally done after 23 months.
