    Hey guys & gals,

I just got my score back for REG. I honestly dont understand how I failed. Also I’m positive I did at least comparable on my simulations. Yeah simulations can be not as straight forward as Multiple choice questions but I dont think it should be possible to get a stronger on Multiple choice and then a weaker on simulations. Since the content covered is similar.

Here is the Performance Compared to Passing Candidates sent to me.
    REG CPA Exam Comparable

Does anyone have any similar results that can give me some closure? I compared my results to the aicpa performance report samples and my score does not make any sense.

Here is the AICPA sample for a 74 and I basically outperformed the samples based on % breakdown.

I got the same score on Reg this past quarter w/ stronger in 2 MCQs, weaker in the rest, comparable on the sims. My score report was better when I had a 69 in Q2, so don't place too much stock into it. Keep grinding my friend. Sorry about the sucky score (its the worst!)

I'm sorry, but are you sure that you showed us your REG RESULT AND NOT audit?? I followed the link and all I saw was related to procedures and entities but not taxation.

My fault I've been studying for REG the past two weeks so that's all that's on my mind. I need to fix that.

Ok, wait. So you got a 74 on AUD, not REG?

That's the most ridiculous score report – as in, super amazing performance, not sure if it makes you feel better. I'd be pissed. Makes me think a few things – 1) makes me feel better about my report on prior fails as they were never that impressive 2) Everyone must have killed it for you to have done that well and still not pass. 3) The tests are curved, and it is sometimes a coin toss. So dumb. Hope this thread helps you process haha. I am starting my 3rd go on REG tonight, again, if it makes you feel any better.

    BEC - 74, 77 (Becker only)

    FAR - 72, 71, 78 (Becker+NINJA)

    REG - 69, 59, 69, 72, 76 (Becker+a private tutor+NINJA+Gleim free trial+seriously anything else I could review)

    AUD - 77 (Becker only)

    CA candidate

    BEC - 74, 77
    FAR - 72, 71 (retake 7/29)
    REG - 69
    AUD - Q4 '16

    CA Candidate

73 on AUD. Since it is comparable to other test takers I thought the “curve” was taken into account and I'm positive my simulation was not bad. Unless I somehow forgot to complete a problem or read the instructions incorrectly. Most of my simulations were dropdown boxes with only 3 options.

Sorry guys, I've been studying nonstop for REG so I got the two confused. Looks like I can't edit the thread either.

I wouldn't pay much attention to your score release report. People get caught up thinking that they just need to study those areas they weren't stronger in, and then slack off in the areas that they are stronger in. It is a good way to set yourself up for failure.

I failed my final exam, FAR, with a 74, I looked really quick and the score report just to see what it said, but it doesn't matter at this point. You won't get the same exam, and you still need 75 points. You did really well on the M/C and are close, you can do it! It sucks that you are that close, but at least you know you're on the right track! You should study for your retest like it is your first time in my opinion, good luck!

    AUD - 83
    BEC - 78
    FAR - 80
    REG - 80
If at first you don't succeed, destroy all evidence that you tried!

    REG: 80 (02/19/16)
    AUD: 83 (04/11/16)
    BEC: 78 (05/28/16)
    FAR: ?

I am in your boat I just got my AUD back and scored a 71 then got this report

    https://i.imgur.com/ZGIUJTm.png

based on some math if i scored an 85 on the multiple choice and i KNOW i got the research question right in order for me to have gotten a 71 i have to average 37% on the other 5 questions

    AUD - 86
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 84
    REG - NINJA in Training
