Post Score Release Dilemma

After waiting a long 3 months for my AUD score, I found out last week that I failed with a 71.

I am currently in the midst of studying/reviewing for Regulation, and I sit in about 2 weeks. At this point in time, I am not too sure how I feel about it. I am extremely tempted to drop my REG materials and cram for AUD for the next 2 weeks and see if I can pull off a 75. Just the thought of having my score back within 10 or so days while allowing more time for REG is tempting.

Am I crazy? Is this a really stupid idea? Should I simply continue my review on REG or should I (somewhat) take a chance at AUD again? I really thought I passed last time but I think the SIM I completely aced was a pre-test (go figure).

    Thanks for the help guys.

Hey … I would say if you are already on track with REG material dont drop it now .. Continue studying for REG and you will give audit again soon, REG has a little details to remember if you postpone you will have to start all over again so go for REG now.

    Best of luck

only you know how your reg studying has been going. If you think you are on the right track and have a decent chance come test day, I say stick with Reg and go ahead and take audit in the beginning of October or whenever you feel comfortable with it. The audit material will still definitely be in your mind, but a thorough review is still necessary to be safe.

Appreciate the input guys. After sleeping on it and reading your comments, I'm going to stick to my original game plan and continue with REG.

Best of luck to you all.

I would stick with REG. You're at the end of the study process so it seems pretty silly to stop now. It might not be true but it sounds me like you're just looking for a reason to put off REG. You haven't looked at AUD for 3 months waiting one more month isn't going to make a big difference in how much time you will need to prepare for an AUD retake.

Go at it full. Just one thing, I did pass AUD in 12 days of studying, but this was because my NTS was expiring and I already scheduled the exam, not like changing the plan to cram a exam away. So passing AUD in two weeks is doable, just FYI. (oh but this was before the exam change, so consider this too)

Working full-time and taking all 4 parts in one window.

If I can do it, you all can too.

Don't let Audit distract you from Reg. Finish up Reg, and knock that sucker out. No mistakes, no doubts, just go take care of it. Once you get that out, Audit will be a piece of cake.
