*Debating whether or not to take final 2 because the consensus seems to be that it is super hard and erases your confidence…not sure I want/need that with taking the exam on Tuesday…I kinda just want to do progress tests and overall review until exam day and skip Becker final 2…any thoughts on that?*August 27, 2016 at 1:35 pm #822808BULL23Participant
This might sound crazy, but am I the only one who thought the actual exam was harder?

quick question to you all….
how do you guys calculate the Simulation part of the Becker exam???
Do you add up the % of 7 sims and divided by 7?
or do you add the actual score for each different sim and divide by the total points???
like some sim worth 5 points, some worth like 20 points….
so I'm confused on show I calculate those…..September 6, 2016 at 9:46 pm #830195spyves83Participant
I just took my first BEC becker practice exam and have my test scheduled for Friday. I did fairly well on the practice (got a 91) but felt like some of the questions I had already seen before on the homework assignments. Any tips on how to effectively prepare for the BEC exam? thanks so much!September 9, 2016 at 2:45 pm #831487Just_Trying_To_PassParticipant

You simply cannot take a Becker practice exam and feel discouraged about the results. I have heard the average is around a 12-15 point increase from practice finals to the real exam. For me, its been about 20. Ridiculous.September 9, 2016 at 2:56 pm #831526bhunt815ParticipantSeptember 9, 2016 at 3:33 pm #831580September 9, 2016 at 3:36 pm #831592ShutUpParticipantSeptember 9, 2016 at 3:51 pm #831646AnonymousInactive

*I did not count the writing portion into my score since as long as you put an answer it is 100%. So BEC is just an average of the 3 MC sections.
Also, I wanted to mention that I found each actual exam to be FAR (no pun intended) more difficult than any of the practice exams. Because of the “curve”, I can almost guarantee that my percentage correct was higher on the practice tests, even though my score on the actual exam was typically much higher.
If you are new to this exam, don't expect to walk out of the testing center feeling like you passed. I never did, and passed each one on the first try.September 10, 2016 at 4:45 am #832366AnonymousInactiveSeptember 10, 2016 at 9:15 am #832429September 11, 2016 at 12:27 am #833101EWC115ParticipantSeptember 20, 2016 at 9:23 am #840456September 20, 2016 at 9:50 am #840528September 20, 2016 at 10:36 am #840684jseitz3ParticipantSeptember 20, 2016 at 11:38 am #840939September 20, 2016 at 10:28 pm #842250September 20, 2016 at 11:04 pm #842301AnonymousInactive

If you are crunched for time skip them, I did and don't regret it.
If you have the time, go for it.September 21, 2016 at 3:52 am #842424samerParticipant
I've never took a pre-test exam, I consider it a waste of time
I don't even pay attention to scores in test exams, in fact I intentially pick the wrong answers on some MCQ's which I find iam not comfortable with the concept s i can review them a couple of days before the exam.
passed 3 exams now from the 1st time, taking REG in December
