Posting links now disabled?

Is posting links now prohibited/always quarantined? I’ve had a couple posts which I’ve made recently including a link related to the topic, and they’ve either disappeared or not shown up till hours/days later, so I’m assuming some sort of spam quarantine is filtering them. However, I wanted to be sure this was the case and not just a random coincidence before operating on this presumption. If that is, in fact, the situation, then I guess I’ll start giving people Google keywords instead of links.

No. I use the akismet (widely used) spam filter and it held your post up for moderation. I don't remember why. I remember one time your post had 3 links in it, which is a red flag for spam and it got halted.

Huh. The two that I noticed it with each had 1 link per and were several days apart, and just scrolling through my post history I don't see any with multiple links in them…may still use Google keywords for a bit. 😛

I wanted to follow-up…I was wrong – it wasn't you that posted the three links previously…that was someone else.

I don't know why your post(s) got hung up. I do believe that if a link has been associated with spammy behavior (someone SEOing for a client and keyword spamming on sites), that link or site may be flagged, but I don't know if this is the case with your links, however.

You've been a great long-time poster, Lilla and I appreciate your contributions to the forum.
