Hey everyone, first time poster here. Decided to create an account since I too am experiencing the struggle of the CPA exam.

I took REG at the very end of Q3 and failed with a 74. I wanted to throw in the towel for a while after that. Studied hard for the past month and just retook REG again yesterday…

I knew I completely bombed the sims on my first attempt, and my score report confirmed that’s why I failed. I felt good on the MC on the first attempt. Knew I had nailed the first testlet and saw a much more difficult 2nd testlet.

The exam I took yesterday was a completely different animal. The MC was tricky and hard all the way through. I couldn’t tell if I was getting hard or medium testlets. I was getting tested on all kinds of obscure topics that weren’t even mentioned (or barely mentioned) in Gleim and Becker text.

However, the sims were 100% more manageable this time. If I fail, its because of the multiple choice and not the sims which is exactly the opposite feeling I had from my first attempt.

Extremely frustrating and disparaging to say the least. I passed FAR on my first attempt and this is my second section I’m taking. I’m freaking myself out about my FAR credit expiring next Halloween.

Anyone else have thoughts on the Q4 REG exam?
