I'm currently studying for REG and I”m taking the exam on 10/31. I don't think you should be worried. I scored a 61 on my practice exam for BEC and did fine on the actual exam. Plus, your MCQ scores are not bad at all and the SIMS for Becker are nothing like the actual exam.

Oh, I meant that this was a practice exam score from the NINJA MCQ. Thanks though! I still have 2 full days to make due.

No please don't worry. Focus on how you are doing on the actual MCQ homework. I stopped doing the practice exams after FAR and REG. on FAR I scored in the 60s on practice exam and got an 81. On Reg I scored in the 50s on practice and also got an 81.

Don't waste your time on those tests. All they do is psyche you out.

Huh true. Jeff told me he prefers MCQ practice over practice tests. A professor told me though that practice tests are the end goal of what to study after taking notes, doing practice questions etc. Ok.

Oh, my bad! Good luck on your exam! I'm taking mine the 30th and I'm really starting to get nervous. I'm ready for this tax deadline to be over.

Honestly doing the MCQ over and over is so challenging, I get much less nervous in front of the actual exam because NINJA already beat me around a LOT XD

Raise the average on your 4 tax parts to 70%-75% and you will knock this exam out of the park.

Oh OK, will do. I spent the majority of my study time on tax anyways. SIMS are pretty varied though in practice so I am happy that I did them.

Wait, Substantial, you mean raise the average tax scores to 70s or the trending average scores to 70s? I don't think I have enough time to do enough questions to get the average scores to 70s, since I have done 100s of question attempts already.

Honestly, I found the final exams to almost scare you. I take them as another way to practice MCQs. A lot of times in the final exam they have stuff you might not have focused on or may ask things in a way you might not be as familiar with. Just my opinion.

Don't pay too much attention to your practice exam scores and worry more about learning something from them. I think the highest score I got on a practice final was like in the high 60s or something, they don't translate very well into what your actual exam score will be. Keep in mind the CPA exam is not graded as a percentage but as an accumulation of points you earn for answering questions correctly – each question is given a point value. So 61% could translate in a 85 on the real exams, who knows? None of us do.
