Okay I’m using Becker to study for Reg and holy crap I do not get business law. The tax portion of Reg wasn’t bad but I feel like the amount of information in Blaw is insane. There are 3 1/2 chapters in Becker devoted to Blaw and contracts do not make any sense to me lol.

Can someone please give me some suggestions how to approach Blaw? Do I need to master every concept in Becker?

I would not try to master every single concept per se but definitely take the time to go through them at least twice. I completely breezed over chapter 8 due to lack of time but wouldn't recommend that. Once you've made your first run through the chapters, focus on the more important concepts that Peter Olinto points out. Some of these would be contract terminology, warranties, agency law, business structures, holder in due course etc. When are you taking the exam?

I was supposed to take it this Friday but I just pushed it to next Friday! In all honesty I only started studying 10 days ago so I figured it was worth it to push it to next week haha

@BenWyatt and @waffle_house definitely do not skip on Business Law. There is no other way to study it than to just study it.

With Business Law and Ethics being 40% of your total exam score I would prepare to see a good number of those questions in MCQ testlets, which will be 60% of your total score.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going.

Don't be upset with the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do.

What don't you get about it? What are some questions you keep missing? Really, all it should be is simple memorization on definitions. With that you can answer most questions

    AUD: 74, 75

    BEC: 81

    FAR: 64, 66, 76

    REG: 84

Try to relate the material to real life, a lot of Blaw is common sense stuff like breaches/damages, warranties, shipment vs delivery contracts, but yeah everything else is just memorization. I'm having the hardest time with bankruptcy stuff.

Your fail scores are like battle scars, so wear them proudly!

I mastered business law by using Ninja MCQs, taking notes and memorizing the concepts. Also, Roger has some good videos of negotiable instruments, perfecting security interest and other business law topics. Doing the multiple choice questions and reading the explanations will really help.

I know it is all memorization, My issue is that there are 3 Becker chapters on it when it is only 20% of the test. I understand all the concepts, it's more when they ask super in-depth details about rules that I will never remember, and I am wondering if I should really take the time to memorize all the little things, or if I am okay with just understanding things and looking at the topics good ole Peter Olinto tells you to star
