    Hey!

So I’ve failed REG last august and planning to retake it now. Went away out of town to visit my grandparents and just didn’t study at all. I’ve started studying for REG again last week and I’m being silly and planning to take my time and give it in Jan when I could just study my ass off and give it a shot by Dec 10? Since the REG exam will have quite some changes starting Jan 2019 and having no tax experience, it scares me that what if it gets harder for me to pass? Can anyone give me some insight whether this change is normal or going to get tougher for REG? Does anyone think I can do this by Dec 10 if I get a date hopefully? I really need to get my head straight so I can focus and encourage myself to do this. Any advice will be so helpful for me right now!!

    Thanks!
    P.S. I scored pretty low when I failed, I got a 54.

If you took REG already then the second time studying should be a little easier, but only you can gauge that because everyone is different. Start by doing a set of 30 questions from the test bank pulled at random, and see how you feel about it If you get a 70 or higher on that first try, you're in a pretty good spot (imo). After that you'll want to really plan on how you want to cover the material. Having taken the exam before you'll have a gist of how they test and maybe focus on areas that were commonly mentioned on the exam. However, don't do this if the only reason you want to do it because exam will be different in January. They might throw some new material in but a) your review course should already be updated b) it shouldn't be so drastic in the first quarter. Give yourself time to properly review again if you need time. Otherwise you'll just be gambling and burning yourself out.

All scores expired, let's try this again.

    AUD - 66, 79
    REG - 73, 76
    BEC - 79
