I retook REG yesterday (I was supposed to take it on Friday, but there was a power outage at Prometric), and I am already nervous for the score…I felt pretty good about the first 2 testlets, and the third one was harder, but not unbearable. I then got to the simulations, and they were brutal. Thinking about them makes my head hurt lol. It was just random topics, and a lot harder than the ones I had back in June. I walked out feeling dazed and sad, because I feel like the Sims may have cost me the exam. Has anyone else had any thing similar, and if so, how did you do? My gut feeling is a retake, but you never know with these exams. I took audit last month and felt g ood about it, but failed with a 68.

    Thanks everyone! šŸ™‚

You may find some comfort in this….This was my 3rd try. After the first 3 testlets I felt really good. The second one I told myself, “Okay, these are a little confusing. Does this means it's a harder testlet?” The questions were a bit longer and you had to really think on some of them. Plus the calculations weren't straight forward. Still, I felt really good.

Then came the sims. I was pissed. I looked at them and was like WTF!? I left and called my wife and vented to her over the phone how I studied my butt off and tried so hard and I think i'm failing. Then I talked myself up a little after I had time to breath. I thought to myself. I know on this one specific SIM the first 2 of 5 fill ins was 100% correct. The CPA testers figured if you know the basic rule they won't punish you. The other 3 I think I could have gone right. Then another SIM had 0's and well, 0's are correct if it's supposed to be zero. I knew i got the research 100% correct. Then the other sims were kind of similar. It seemed that while they were tough as long as you knew basic concepts you would get some form of credit for the SIMS. Remember, one is pre-test. I guess I was pissed because some of them got so hard but they also put questions in each sim that if you knew the basic concepts you would get it right.

I got an 80 and my previous exam was a 61. I finished the test with an hour left. The 61 took me the entire 3 hours. I wanted to go through each SIM again but realized there is nothing more I can do. I double checked I had answers in each of them but that was really it.

Thank you so much for sharing! I got a 64 back in July. I hope and pray I passed like you did! I used all the time except for like 15 minutes, but got through the MCQ in an hour and a half, leaving that amount for the SIMS as well. BEC took me 3 times, and if I pass FAR next time it will be 3 times. I am starting to think my destiny is 3 times per exam…I hope not though!! I was mad too after I left the testing center, I told my husband that I felt like I ruined it and that my brain was fried lol.

I took REG on Monday… def felt like I had my butt whooped. The test-lets were not so bad, but I feel like the sims were the hardest I've encountered in my exams and I was unsure of even the research sim, my mind was blanking on everything. Hoping for the best, but feel like a re-taker could be in my future. Like you, I also took AUD in August and felt like I nailed it only to receive a 65.

    AUD 4/25/16
    BEC 67,80
    FAR 7/11/16
    REG 9/5/16
