I was just wondering on what I should be expecting for REG? Am I expected to memorize all these different tax amounts such as phase out levels, etc. Or is the exam more concept based? Seems like it would be a lot to ask of us to memorize all those numbers. Any advice is appreciated.

I think it's more concept based but I'd say you at least need to know which items have phase outs in play – passive activity losses, medical and the AGI limit with ages, the 2% floor on itemized deductions, gifts ETC. I'd probably spend time on passive activity losses and not forgetting the special benefit real estate professionals have if they are renting homes.

Just keep in mind which stuff HAVE phase-outs, be mindful of that when you answer questions or SIMs. The exam is very conceptual, memorize those acronyms. Yeah, don't stress out. Makes the whole testing process worse. Just have faith that you studied enough for the exam.
