    Hi All,

My REG exam is exactly two weeks from today and I need advice on how to maximize my preparation to score well on the exam.

I just finished the R8 with Becker last night and feel really comfortable with the Blaw and Ethics but highly confused about the tax chapters , mainly R2 -R4.

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Amen 🙂

My REG exam is on Saturday. I am just working a hundred or so MCQs and a few simulations each day for my review. Hopefully that will suffice. Good luck!

    AUD - 90
    BEC - 87
    FAR - 86
    REG - 86

    Thank you!

I am working the MCQ's for R 3&4 and also ensuring the mnemonics stick.

Will focus on progress tests and simulations next week.

I will appreciate more feedback on what else to do or other topics to concentrate on

I failed Reg 3 times! I will tell you this, whatever you don't know, the exam will find it and they will keep giving you questions about it… so whatever you feel like you need more practice on, focus on that the next 2 weeks.

Another thing that I thought was helpful was to buy MCQ from a different source. I found that I was getting the Becker ones right because I had memorized the answers instead of understanding the concepts. Getting a different group of questions really was helpful in determining what I needed to focus on.

    GOOD LUCK!

Successful people fail their way to the top.  Don't give up!

    REG: 62 (10/12), 70 (12/13), 80 (5/14) PASSED

    FAR: 63 (2/12), 78 (5/15) PASSED

    AUD: 71 (4/12), 77 (11/14) PASSED

    BEC: 79 (7/15) PASSED

    you only need a 75 😉

Becker 6mo fast track = overzealous.

I think a huge reason why people fail REG is because they underestimate partnership basis. STUDY BASIS UP UNTIL GOING INTO THE EXAM ROOM!STUDY PARTNERSHIP/CORPORATE BASIS AS IF YOUR LIFE DEPENDS ON IT. It was worked into so many of my multiple choice questions. I skipped the last chapter of the becker book mostly, I think I barely watched the lectures, and passed.

I am in the same situation as well except my test is two weeks out beginning Thursday, just starting R7 today should be done with it and R8 by Saturday. Leaving me about 10 to 11 days to review.

    Also need advice, anyone?!

I have 5 days to review, 3 left. It will be all tax. I hit biz law and whatever sticks sticks. Failure is not an option.
