Congrats to everyone that got passing scores today, those who didnt pass, continue fighting the good fight.

For those that passed REG, would you be so kind in sharing your strategy. I have 3 weeks before exam and I am currently having a hard time with Property transactions.

I try to go through the material twice whether it's reading the book twice or book and lecture. If you started by reading the chapter, you can probably watch the lecture at 1.5x speed. I have Roger CPA Review Course. If I just go through the material 1 time, I get destroyed when moving to the MCQ phase. I also try to take a decent amount of notes whether in a notebook or in word. I spend a lot of time doing MCQ (aim for 1 week of non-stop MCQ's at a minimum if studying part-time) and tried to solve each question to the best of my ability. Doing this really helped me learn how to solve the most popular MCQ type questions for each exam. I create flash cards for the questions I consistently miss. I usually just do about 600-750 MCQs and felt that that was enough. Seems folks are getting through MCQs a lot faster and doing a lot more but like I said, I really spend a lot of time trying to solve each one. This may not be the best strategy however so you'll have to see if it's better to go fast and cover more questions or slower but with more direct learning. For property transactions, just hammer MCQs and see what areas you're struggling with and refer back to the book or YouTube some videos (edspira etc.). Make sure you're comfortable with basis calculations for all entity types. I would practice a little bit of the authoritative literature; I had 2 of them for my simulations and was sure I got them right which gave me hope that I did well enough for simulations – ended up get comparable even though I felt like I completely bombed the others.
