    Hi everyone!

    I made a similar post when I was about this far out for FAR and I really think it helped me.

    I have gone through 85% of the stuff in Becker (excluding a few topics from R8) and am getting ready to redo all the homework before taking a final (probably Saturday or Sunday).

    Can I get some advice on how to handle the last 9 days please?!

    I'm only in week 3 of studying REG (starting R4) & test is October 2nd. I'm blown away by all the rules,exceptions, thresholds etc. I hope it all comes together soon after doing tons of MCQ and analyzing why this are correct etc… good gosh.

    Best of luck to you!

    I have REG on Monday, so I can only tell you what I have planned since I haven't taken it yet. I will do 2 full days of studying on Friday and Saturday. I will work on Business Law most of the day Friday since I basically have tax down. I am averaging almost 90% on chapters 1 thru 4 and probably 65% on chapters 5-8 on my progress tests. I can add 20% to that B-law average in a day though. On Saturday I am going to power through SIM's in the morning, work some MCQ's in the afternoon, and then go to my Fantasy Football draft that night. Sunday I will read over my notes at least twice and read some of the memorization chapters (especially 5). I'll do some MCQ's on Sunday if I feel I need to but hopefully I will just be fine tuning my knowledge by then. My test is Monday afternoon so on Monday morning I will just read over my notes, pace a few miles through my house waiting for time to leave, and then go pass REG.

    On Monday I WILL pass REG.

    @SkiBum1990 Oh goodness, right?! That is why I am so nervous! I am about to spend as much time as possible trying to keep everything straight. I have seen people say the devil is in the details, and they are not kidding. Good luck to you, you will rock it!

    @bhunt815
    , Your plan sounds pretty fool proof to me, I bet you will pass with flying colors! I am opposite of you, I have blaw pretty much down but struggle with tax, especially C corps and individual tax. S corps and partnerships are relatively easy for me. Side note, you are crazy for taking an afternoon exam! I couldn't imagine having all morning to wait for the exam. Mine is at 9 am!

    @SkiBum1990, Well technically blaw is 6-8 because 5 is ethics. But it is all the memorization stuff. I have been told that R5 is just as important as R1-4 because ethics is ~20% of the test.

    REG on Saturday. I'll be plowing through progress tests all day tomorrow. I usually take 2-3 chapters at a time and do 40-50 question quizzes. Friday I'll do both practice exams. Not exactly how I would have wanted to spend a week of PTO 🙂

    Good luck!

    Know every thing about ethics. Becker Chapter 5 and there is also a section in the book which talks about ethics. Can't recall which section that was. Don't dwell too much on memorizing thresholds in personal income tax section. GL

    @IB553, I have decided my game plan is as such: Today through Saturday will consist of me rereading my notes, redoing all mcq and SIMs and rereading any section of the book I still might not understand. Sunday I will take a final exam and review the questions I got wrong. Monday-Tuesday will be hammering out mcq. Wednesday will be another final exam. Thursday I will just review my notes and look over some flashcards. This is the exact layout I had for FAR so I am hoping it proves useful again! Good luck to you! 🙂

    @hamms30
    , I love that style of preparing too! And it is nice Becker lets you choose which chapters you want to focus on. Yes I took a week off for FAR and got so angry about what a waste it was that I quit my job, so I am currently unemployed (until my new job end of September) and it has been so nice! Good luck on Saturday!

    @CHACPA What do you think about the blaw chapters? I think I have chapter 5 pretty much down but I have been slacking off at the other blaw stuff.

    To each their own, but I think practice exams are a waste of time, unless you have never taken an exam before. You don’t learn anything taking a practice exam other than some time management skills. Other than that, you are not getting the immediate feedback of answering questions correct or incorrect. Not to mention a practice exam could very well be 3 hours of valuable time that could be allocated to studying topics that you may be struggling with.

    @reallytired – I'll see what I can report back afterwards without breaking any A71/AICPA rules. Pleasantly surprised to see someone at the library with a BEC book today and we both told each other the other wasn't so bad. Nice to know I'm not the only sucker suffering in CT haha. We were definitely the two saddest people there though.
