Hey guys, I’m on my last section REG using Becker. Taking it March 10th. I plan to have 2 weeks of review but I’ve been doing a lot of intermediate review to make those last 2 weeks less stressful, keeping old things fresh. My question is, those last 2 weeks, do you recommend nothing but mcq, sims, and the becker mocks? Sadly I still can’t say I’ve mastered a way to study for these things and the REG textbook has so much more detail than what the mcq’s cover so I’m nervous when people say just hammer mcqs when theres a lot more to the topics.

What do your MCQ results look like? Is it smooth sailing, do you have a few rough spots, or are you below where you need to be across the board?

I'd focus on MCQ's and note review for the days leading up to exam.. 1 mock for every week of review left is good so you can see where your weak areas are. I didn't study SIMS and I never do. Whether you do or not is your call. I find them to be a time drainer since it's highly unlikely you'll see the same sims on the exam and they take so long to work. However, do the AICPA practice test, you'll find that it's beneficial. They will usually have at least 1 SIM (besides research question) that will be identical format to one on exam day.
