REG SIMS – best way to prepare?

I have been using Wiley and NINJA to prepare for my REG exam this week.

One oddity I noticed: NINJA doesn’t seem to have any document review simulations, and I’ve only seen a few in Wiley.

If I understand correctly, the actual REG exam may have four of them?

I’m hoping to prepare and get comfortable… unfortunately, the DRS have been my weakest, and I only have the meager few in Wiley to prepare with. Over-familiarity makes it harder to learn from them…

Any suggestions? Are the SIMS with NINJA good enough to prepare?

I also noticed that NINJA seems to use the old format – 72 MCQ and 6 TBS, whereas now it’s 76/8-9? Is there a reason for that?

    Thanks!

You will have 8 Sims total, 2-3 DRS, 1-2 Authoratative literature, and the rest will have you fill in blanks based on a little info. Thereā€™s no real way to prepare for them. I recommend checking out the AICPA practice exams because those are the best representations of the actual exam – they help ALOT.

Make sure you know your individual taxes, live and dream about all the tax basis.
