I took the regulation exam back in May and I am waiting for my score. I try not to think about it but I can’t help going through all the things I think I got wrong on my test. The part that really worries me is the research question. I spent all the extra time I had on the test trying to find the research because it was in my last testlet. I searched all the key words I could think of based off the prompt but I could NOT find the research questions. Am I totally screwed if I did not find the research question ? Does anyone know how many points it actually is ?

    AUD - 90
    BEC - 83
    FAR - NINJA in Training
    REG - NINJA in Training
    -thanks

Nobody other than the AICPA knows how much the research question is worth.

How screwed are you? Depends…You are probably are screwed if you find out you failed in the low 70s because that research question could have very much made the difference.

No point in worrying right now because what happened has already happened. Nothing you can do right now can change what you will get on score release.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 81
    REG - 82
    FAR - 74 first attempt

there is no point in guessing at this point…I took REG yesterday and purposely put my notes and book away because I don't want to have to go through it finding everything I did wrong… It's over:) Wait is all we can do.

I too took REG and May and get that sinking feeling like its still not over me. All you can do now is enjoy the rest of the summer you have left and deal with it later. Not sure how long you have been at this, but I've been on the road a long time. Don't let worry steal your joy! This test is not an underhand soft toss. This test is a 100 mph fastball designed for a certain % of people to be intimated to start or to frustrated to finish. It's how the designation gets its marketability. Everybody wants the benefits, so they wanna see how hard you will work for it.

Question values are a state secret. Have you looked at how they score the thing? It's a tangled mess on purpose. Get thoughts of your performance out of your head and enjoy the rest of your summer. Here's the thing if you passed you had a great time and moving on to your last section just got that much easier. However if you get an unfavorable result, then you had a great time and re-studying just got that much easier.

    See how that works?
