I wanted to gather some input on some of the members opinions on UWorld Roger CPA Review for regulation. I used him for the first time for audit and passed on first try. I wanted to know how his regulation course is and if it is worth it compared to Wiley which I currently have.

Roger's materials gives you just enough to pass REG. I would honestly do NINJA, I'm not trolling. Bc really, it boils down to how well you're allowing yourself to learn the material. Many people have found successes with Roger, WTB and NINJA. I used a mixture of Roger and NINJA and still barely passed.

hasy, How did you do differently when you go from 52 to 78??? Did you get 52 with Roger only and just add NINJA MCQ to get 78?? I passed BEC and moving on to REG. I also took REG with BEC and didn't have time to focus on REG. I scored 57.

Im also thinking if I should get Roger or Becker…..

The thing is I've used ninja for all my sections as a supplement. I religiously do the mcqs and read the ninja notes.

I used only Roger for REG and passed just fine on the first try. He teaches more than enough to pass IMO, and based on your past scores, you shouldn't have a problem.. As long as you focus on knowing the concepts, you should be fine.

I used only Roger's program and passed all 4 of my exams on the first try. I think his teaching is great, but for REG I think it varies depending on how much tax experience you have. I'm very strong in tax (it's what I do for work and I got my MST in grad school). I could see where someone who doesn't have much experience would have to rewatch certain lectures or supplement. Roger was great for me because he tries to make things concise, but some people may benefit from additional detail, if that makes sense.

I'm going to go ahead and purchase the Roger course and cram. I used both for audit so I'm sure it will pay off. I learn better by watching lectures and reading as well as thousands of mcqs lol. Thanks everyone.

I used Roger for all four and my favorite part from him was REG.

Maybe, I should put a disclaimer for that 52. I didn't study like I should for that 52. I took it because I wasn't going to let it go to waste. So yeah, that 52 was like 2 weeks of flipping through the CRAM book and practicing no SIMs.

So the difference was that I applied myself more and I did every SIM in NINJA. Honestly, I truly believe that no amount of practice could have prepared anyone for the questions I saw, but wow.. I can only say, the only way to pass is to make an effort to learn and apply the material.

@hasy thanks for the input. I originally planned on using Wiley for audit but after watching the first lecture I told myself there is no way I am going to be able to follow all this since it was so boring and the lecturer just read the PowerPoint. I tried the Roger trial and his lectures were a breath of fresh air. I ended up purchasing his audit course and cram and used it with Wiley test Bank and the ninja mcqs. I think that was the perfect combo for myself.
