    NINJA Question –

    Hey, long time no forum.

I have a week until REG (March 4) and started using Roger IPQ after watching around half of his videos. Anyone here know if Roger’s question bank is enough to pass the exam or just head on over and cram Ninja’s question bank?

    Thanks,

I have done Roger's IPQ and now doing NINJA's MCQ. Taking REG on March 3. Some people passed all 4 sections using only Roger's CPA review course, so yes it's possible. I found NINJA's MCQ more challenging.

I tried pretty hard with Roger and IPQ for my first attempt at FAR last year, but came up short. I found Ninja MCQ to be immensely valuable for my retake and every other section after that. For the price, the interface and results are way more usable IMO. A lot of the questions in any test bank are the same and I noticed the crossover between Roger and Ninja, but the way ninja allows you to see your weak topics is huge.

Yeah, like cpa1982 said, it's possible to pass with just Roger, but Ninja MCQ are definitely harder. I used both for BEC and passed and now hoping for the same with AUD. However, I've found that some of the Ninja Qs for AUD are just strange whereas Roger's IPQs are definitely more based in the core concepts and less on the extremely specific questions. My sense is that if you just do Roger and make sure you REALLY understand the material you won't need to memorize those little tiny details that could show up on one or two questions on the exam.

ROGER MCQ are okay and comparable to the exam. There is no way I would have a decent shot with passing the SIMS without Ninja's SIMS/MCQ and heck they were even't that comparable to what was tested either (I doubt any of them are). TBH I think for Roger you need to supplement with something else or be okay with knowing his stuff backward and outward because he gives you enough to scrape by….the best thing I can say about
Rog is he at least keeps you engaged in the material and REG was a nightmare for me that he made slightly more bearable and understandable. I kind of wanted to punch the MCQ of Ninja's in the face after a while though….even after I got the book (which made it better still)

Roger's mcq's are good for when you're first going through the material. When you're ready to start reviewing I'd switch to Ninja and just keep pounding away at them. Roger's diagnostics are terrible and they don't even give you an average score of how you're doing. You have to calculate it yourself lol. They don't even grade the sims either, which doesn't make sense to me.

I've never used just his IPQ exclusively for any exam so I can't say whether or not it's good enough, but there's others here who claimed they only used his test bank and passed all the exams. First time I took REG, I used his IPQ in the beginning then switched to Ninja when I finished the lectures. Ninja's mcq's were similar to what my exam was like and is probably the reason I was stronger on all mcq topics except blaw and ethics.

One thing I would do is sign up for the 2 week trial to Wiley and do all their sims. I don't think Ninja or Roger has many good sims for REG.

I gained absolute confidence and passed my first 3 exams using only Roger IPQ. My fail in AUD was absolutely down to my disrespect of the exam….or apathy….or laziness. Either way, my prep time was inadequate.
For my retest, I spent the time, but also recognized that I had memorized too many of the IPQ. I purchased NINJA MCQ about two weeks from exam date. Questions were fresh, results were real, and it kept me focused and motivated to pass on Take 2.
I had read other's posts on this forum that Roger IPQ were inadequate, and I purchased anyway due to other positive factors (lecture style, mainly). I found the IPQ to behave as I needed, and would recommend his whole program.
