    Gleim Question –

Hi all need a little insight on which to switch too for an audit retake. I am still supplementing with the 10 point combo. I hear the instructor for Rogers is very different from the rest which is a good thing. I also hear Gliem has good tbs which is a weak point of mine. Any help would be awesome.

Gleim user here. I think Gleim is great, but I also feel like you need to be pretty self-motivated to use Gleim. The instructor for AUD is decent. However, I have watched some of Roger's videos on YouTube; if you're looking for that kind of energy, Gleim isn't it. Gleim's test bank seemed a lot harder than most of the questions I got on my AUD exam, so I really did feel quite prepared.

I'd sayy motivation is good. And yeah I have seen his videos and he's very energetic. I just hear that he uses other strategies that other materials do not.

I'm using Roger and just took FAR yesterday. His lectures are great and his book is really easy to follow and coincides nicely with the lectures. Some say he skims over some topics, but I felt everything on my exam was covered and there were no surprises. Whether I passed or not is on me and I won't be blaming his course for not having me prepared. I'm not a huge fan of his test bank so I would definitely supplement with Ninja.

Gleim will definitely prepare you well enough to pass your exam. As sarah said the lectures are much dryer than Roger (especially the audio) but they are very helpful to reinforce the points you learned by reading the text.

I can't speak for Gleim, but Roger user here and I really like his program. I just took FAR yesterday as well, and I've only used Roger the whole time. I feel like he did a good job preparing me for my previous 3 exams. He did for FAR as well – if I didn't pass, it was because 3 weeks wasn't enough time to study. I will say he does skip over some details, but I like that he gets to the point without wasting my time. Many of his MCQ's were harder than the ones I received yesterday – especially the 1st testlet.

I have Gleim, sim is great, but I cannot read their book, I perfer Becker book. I If you use it for supplement, I think it is a good idea. I haven't used Roger yet, but I have watched his lecture, it seems very interesting. Gleim has videos as well but it is not as interesting as Roger

I had Roger prior to switching to Gleim. I can't say much about Gleim since I just ordered it.

But keep in my mind that Roger talks fast during his lectures. I had a hard time keeping up. His lectures might be less dry than other programs but I found myself paying attention to his jokes more than the material. At first his style of lecturing was entertaining, but I found his way of lecturing distracting after awhile.

His multiple questions seemed easy—thankfully back when I bought the program they also gave us access to Wiley.

I heard the program has changed now..can't give much info on that.

Roger is just too hyper for my taste. His handwriting is horrid and his style just doesn't work for me. I tried watching his videos on YouTube several times and everytime I wind up saying to myself, “no way can I take multiple hours of him.” Just my 2 cents.

Gleim MCQ's are harder vs Becker and Roger's respectively. I think Gleim lectures aren't that bad… I review all the lectures once and take running notes. Gleim textbook it not appealing at all.

I am getting mixed responses so thank you all Haha. I personally don't find audit boring compared to FAR. Maybe gleim for audit might be a better option. I guess my biggest skeptic is buying a course and feel like it's the same thing compared to wiley and the ninja book.

I just used Gleim to pass my last exam (FAR). This was the first time I had used Gleim to study. Overall, I thought it was very effective for the price. The Gleim Instruct (video) is adequate, as it basically highlights the important areas of the chapter to review. The text can get very in-depth, so you have to be good about knowing what to focus on. The Gleim MCQ's were pretty difficult, but very effective. All in all, if you are a motivated self-studier, I don't think you can get a better value than Gleim. FYI, I really only used Ninja MCQ for good luck (I had used it for all of the other tests).

    FAR - 2/13/16 - 84 (Gleim & Ninja MCQ)

Thanks all. I am going to try a demo for gleim and see how it goes. I watched a few Roger videos on line and yes he's very energetic and knows what be is talking about. No way could I do that for long periods of time. He talks way too fast. I know everyone has different ways of studying but I like to write during video lectures. I feel trying to do that with Rogers would not be ideal.

Rogers all the way…He has everything broken down into mini subsections that breaks each chapter down into smaller sections..

Makes it easier to focus and take notes on..

Couldnt be happier with the product..and Roger himself is a riot to listen to.he makes rehashing this crap fun.

you can write down key words while you're wacthing the lecture then after you finish, write down the whole info.needed .

you gain two points in one :

1- watching the lecture without disturb.
    2- writing notes.
