Seasonal Work

Has anyone ever considered doing seasonal accounting work for only a few months out of the year and then doing whatever else floats your boat the rest of the year.

I’m thinking you could either do tax season or take on the occasional forensics engagement if you have a niche there and then start a side business you love in the other months. How possible is this?

Totally doable. And if you wanted to work in winter, tax is your ticket.

I don't really remember my CPA exam scores. I've been a CPA for decades... I run a four CPA firm in Redmond WA. I'm the author of a bunch of books about small business accounting including QuickBooks for Dummies and Quicken for Dummies.

Thanks for the reply! Does anyone know if this arrangement is possible with forensic accounting as well?
