Should I reschedule FAR?

    I’m currently scheduled to take FAR on August 18, however, I’m behind on my study schedule and am only just now finishing up F6 with Becker. Originally I had two weeks for final review but now it’s looking like I’ll only have 8 or 9 days. I am studying full time but was a little overambitious in making my study schedule so I keep falling behind every day. I don’t want to rush through the rest of this material since I hear nonprofit and the government is highly tested and I have no experience with any material like that.

    I don’t start my full-time job until October 3, however, I was hoping to also squeeze REG in on October 1 or the 2 before my job begins. I’m afraid if I push FAR back I won’t have enough time to study for REG, especially because I know I’ll need more time since tax is not my strong suit.

    Should I push FAR and just take REG later in October after I’ve started my job? Or keep everything as it is and just hope for the best with FAR? Any advice would be appreciated!

    @Nmj012, I think you should get through the materials for far. You have no more casual time. When you go ahead and focus on Far, you'll have time for Reg. Trying not to study with a new job you might not be able to avoid, if you don't pass. So I would get through the materials, start your mcq regime, and pass this part first. So you have 18 days to turn it up and stay on track.

    It begins with a 75

    Finish up the material and study like crazy the last 8-9 days. Do as much multiple choice as you can and read your notes during that time. I would only suggest rescheduling if you truly feel that awful about it. I just took FAR this past Tuesday for the first time and I'm waiting on my score. I have passed REG and BEC (REG while 29 weeks pregnant and baby was 6 weeks old with BEC) while working a full time tax position. It'll only get harder once you start working. Bust your booty and be miserable and it'll pay off so that you can move on and hopefully take REG before you start working.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 77
    FAR - 84
    REG - 80
    Push yourself, because nobody else is going to do it for you.

    If you are studying fulltime you have 16 days left before the exam, even if you only study 6 hours a day that's still 96 hours between now and exam day. 128 hours if you do 2 blocks of 4 hours each.
    I am not sure how many hours you have invested so far but I feel like 96-128 hours should be enough to get you a 75. Keep plugging away. 8-9 days for review should be okay. I planned to have 2 weeks to review but ended up with only 10 days if I remember correctly. You got this!!

    REG-96 1/18/18 (6 wks, 110 hrs, 1400 MCQs, no SIMs)

    Thanks y'all for the advice!
    I don't think I am going to reschedule. I'm just going to work 12-14 hours a day and hopefully get through the rest of the new material by the middle of next week and then just drill MC Q's and Sims until my test.

    @Tncincy
    : You're completely right, obviously I had hoped I wouldn't have to take any while working but no matter what I'll have to take BEC and AUD while working. Hopefully I can still get REG done before if I don't move my FAR test. Thanks though I should be focusing on FAR only right now!

    @Heather
    : Wow, congrats on passing BEC and REG! Especially while pregnant and with a new born and working full time! Hoping for good news for FAR! Great advice, thank you!

    @Recked: I hadn't looked at it in hours but seeing it like that makes it seem like I have so much more time! Thank you! Also if you got a 93 with 10 days of review hopefully that means I can at least get a 75!
