Sit or Reschedule

Here’s my dilemma; I’m scheduled for my REG retake tomorrow morning at 8am. I’ve had a pretty bad head cold since Tuesday that is making me feel fuzzy and unfocused (almost like I”m buzzed). I’m trying to decide if I should sit for my exam and hope that I can focus when I really need to, or reschedule? It looks like my Prometric doesn’t have another opening until May 11, which would really screw up the plans I have for taking my remaining two exams. Any advice is appreciated!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's within 24 hours of your exam, I believe you have to reapply and will lose the initial fee you've paid. So, you should sit and hope for the best.

    Edit:
Due to the long score release, if you have little confidence in passing, I believe if you no-show to the exam center, you should be able to reapply within a few days and I think still sit during this window. Can any one verify if that's correct?

However, judging by your other REG scores, if you've been studying and you are able to think clearly tomorrow, I believe you can pass. I'm sorry, I shouldn't give advice 🙁

Haha no, thank you for your advice! I didn't even think about losing the fee if I don't sit tomorrow, which I'm pretty sure you're correct about. The long score release is really the only reason I'm even thinking about rescheduling, but I think when it comes to test time I will be able to force myself to focus.

I don't know how the rules have changed from the new exam but I think you should try to take it as planned. Who knows – being a bit sick could take the pressure off of you to where you will be relaxed and pass. I know when I'm anxious and over focused on tests, I have a bad habit of 2nd guessing myself out of right answers. Maybe you do that too and being a bit sick will make you too tired to overthink. Good luck and hope you feel better

That's a really good point, I definitely get too nervous and second guess myself, so I think you're right. Thanks for the well wishes!
