Has anyone experienced getting long winded MCQ’s right out of the gate for FAR? I’ve now taken FAR 3 times and this is the first time that the questions seemed to have started off quite difficult…I know its all perspective but..I just couldn’t believe it. The questions didn’t seem to lighten up either. Every 3 questions was a 4-7 sentence long question.

Also, the SIMS seemed ‘relatively easier’ than in previous exams which is good I guess…I’m thinking I bombed it which I don’t know how is possible since my scores have increased from a 68 to a 72 for FAR. I guess luck has a part to play too…just feeling discouraged again.

Thoughts based on your own experiences?

I took it last summer and had the same experience. It is unusual and not many people have said they had hard questions on the first testlet. My questions kicked my butt on all 3 testlets. The sims didn’t seem that bad, but my score report said weak on sims. I made a 70. Last time my questions seemed easier and I made a 74. Don’t be discouraged; in my experience (and I have more than I care to) what you think does not always correlate with the actual results you receive.

I hope you passed. Worrying until score release is just wasted energy. Once you get FAR, it will all be downhill from there. 😉

Well far is a beast 4-7 sentences or 1-3…..You just have to keep studying until you get it. If it was t/f questions they would probably still be asked ridiculously. So chalk it up and try again….Not and easy road…..
