And is only 37 pages in Becker?! Does that mean Becker doesn’t cover it much or that it’s something to REALLY focus on to get easy points? Because I think I got 61 of the 72 questions in that chapter right first time and don’t expect to get the others wrong again, and that seems a little too good to be true

You probably just know the material well…BLAW/Ethics consists of about 40% of REG.

Lonewolf – where did you hear that ethics was 17% of the REG exam?

Also – I thought the Becker video said that BLAW was about 25% of the entire exam and taxes were about 75%.

Anyone have different stats on the breakdown between tax and law on REG ?

    FAR - 86 - 2/27/14
    AUD - 75 - 5/29/14
    BEC - 80 - 8/31/14

@ Tux, I believe you're right. Tax is about 80% and Law is 20%.

I felt I underprepared for ethics. Since it is such a small range of topics, you have to know them all very in depth.

According to AICPA CSO 2015, ethics is 15%-19%:

You don't need Ethics. It's only wrong if you get caught, remember?

Ethics is a significant portion of the REG exam making those 30-some pages in R5 all the more important. No excuse to not have it down cold on test day as it is all rules and not at all abstract like some of the BLaw topics can be.

Pretty much some of the lowest hanging fruit in all of the exams I have taken to date.

Yeah that's why it confused me. 15-19% for topics that either Becker barely covers or just seem like common sense/familiar to me. I hope that this is the case since I'll take any points I can get after feeling O_o after the first Business Law lecture
