So, first off, I’m using Becker. I thought I could get an updated copy of the book with the new info for 2017, but I can’t find any info for this on the Becker website. Anybody know where to order this?

Second…I should finish Chapter 8 by Friday is my guess. My test is scheduled for July 12th. Any tips on reviewing?

I did pass FAR my first go-around (AND THANK GOD), but that was a weird situation in that my test kept getting delayed because my NTS took forever. So I had almost 5 months to study. This one is a bit more condensed.

However, I do taxes day-to-day so the first few chapters I felt like I soared through.

    AUD - 78
    BEC - 83
    FAR - 79
    REG - 89

You should be able to redeem a new book through Becker….If you go to REG section in your course login, there should be an option to redeem a book…If not, you could always try calling them. My test is on the 20th and I just started the review…I got Ninja MCQ which for the past two sections (AUD and BEC) has been the best during review (I use Becker as my primary study material). The questions are different so it gives you a good rounded view of what might be on the test. There are SIMS in Ninja testbank as well…For myself, I think I am going to go section by section in Ninja and review my notes/flashcards/Becker book as I go through them. I think it will be slow this way but will stick better… If there are things you are already strong on in REG, you could potentially blow through the Ninja MCQ quickly. For $47 I don't know any other review tool that's better! Good luck.

Thanks, I'll look into that for Becker!

I did not use NINJA for FAR at all, but I think it's a good idea to try to get more MCQ's and SIMS. Especially compared to FAR, I feel like REG had way less SIM examples provided by Becker. Or is that just me?

I didn't make flashcards, though I swore I would this time around. However, I did write out all the skills practice notes/problems and I found that new section really helpful overall.

I'm not sure if re-reading the book will help me. I think like with FAR, I should just hit the MCQ's and SIMs over and over.

    BEC - 83
    FAR - 79
    REG - 89

Woah! We are in the exact same situation. I'll finish R8 by Saturday and sit July 12th too. I purchased Ninja MCQs for review but have not started doing those yet, because I'm waiting until I finish the entire Becker material. I plan on doing Ninja questions in sets of 38 questions (so it'll be like the exam), then “take a break” by re-reading my notes. Then back to questions.

I purchased a replacement Becker book on their website as well for 15 dollars. Google order becker replacement book and the link should pop up.

    AUD: 74, 72
    BEC: 67, 69, 76
    FAR: 77
    REG: 76

Nice!! I got lazy the last couple of days, but I'll definitely finish it today.

That's a good idea to do the number of questions in a set similar to the test. I was going to go crazy and do like a set of 150 questions, but I think that'll just overwhelm and exhaust me.

I do think I'll buy the NINJA questions this time around. I don't really want to use the final review from Becker given I barely skimmed it for FAR. Too much money for me to not use it.

I did end up ordering my book. Thanks for the tip!

I definitely recommend NINJA MCQ for REG, very similar to what you will see on the exam. I thought the SIMS were helpful, but nothing like what I got on the exam. I would recommend trying to use the AL as much as possible for REG, the types of questions I got asked I was able to find very good answers to in the AL.

As far as final review goes, all I did was hammer out as many MCQ's as possible, and some light re-reading of some of the trickier material. Exposure to as many questions as possible is key, sounds like you will be in a good place come July 12th. Good luck!

    AUD - 92

    FAR - 77
