Starting to study for REG after a year off

    Hi All,

I have passed 3 exams but failed Reg (72) a good amount of time ago (about a year). I started working right after at a big 4 firm in SALT and got thrown into busy season right away. I kept putting it off because I did not miss studying (mistake #1 I know). But now I am in crisis mode as I have Audit expiring in November and have to pass Reg before. I am NOT a morning person and prefer to study mid-day/evenings. I just function better in these hours. Anyone have any tips on how to bust through the REG material and streamline the study process so I am fully prepared by October? I work in SALT so busy season is starting back up here shortly too which scares the hell out of me. Any and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

I worked full-time while studying for FAR. What I did was I studied saturday and sunday as if it was another full-time job. 6-8 hrs of studying each weekend day. Additionally, at least 4-5 progress tests throughout the week to reinforce previous material I had covered as studying while working full time will take longer, therefore you have a longer time frame from which to forget the material you covered say week 1 or 2. YOu were close to passing REG last time so I think my biggest advice for this round is to do as many multiple choice as you can especially during your review week. If you can do at least 100 or even 150-200 a day of all material collectively that would help during review week. THe more you practice and write down the rules as you answer a question the easier it is to remember them.

    REG- 87

    BEC- 88
