Sticking with one section or move on?

Thoughts on sticking with one section until one passes vs. moving on to other sections and then tracking back…

Currently thinking of sticking with FAR until I pass as the last time I had to go back to it after a few months was annoying getting back up to speed. However, I lose REG if I don’t schedule within the next few months.

I think it depends on your situation and timing. For me I take AUD 2/27 and REG 4/17. I dont have time to wait for my AUD results before starting to study for REG so I will just double back if I have to.

What sections have you passed and when do they expire? How close were you to passing FAR? Do you have an idea of what you needed to work on?

    FAR - 11/05/18 - 92

    BEC - 12/04/18 - 95

    AUD - 2/27/19 - 96

    REG - 4/17/19 - 93

    I’m done!!

Yeah I would say that it depends on timing and when you take the exam. So for example, I took REG on 1/22, I was not going to find out my score until 2/26 and so I moved on and studied for BEC. Now, I get to find out both scores on the same day.
On the other hand, it you take FAR on March 9th for example, you would find out your score on March 19th. In this case, I would say stick with FAR but if it's the former situation I mentioned, then move on.

    FAR - 81 (11/10/18)
    AUD - 79 (12/8/18)
    REG - 84 (1/22/19)
    BEC - 84 (2/13/2019)

I haven't passed any sections yet, I've taken FAR and AUD once.

On March 4, this will be my second time for FAR and I get my scores back in a few weeks after that. I feel better than the first time and I have improved my MCQs but SIMS are still killing my score. Between the hard SIMS and bonds, those are the things I need to work on. I got a 56 the last time I took it.

By losing a section I mean that I have up until a certain date to schedule REG (got approval to test, now just need to schedule with Prometric). I have until July to schedule and take REG though so I suppose I can wait and retake FAR if need be and still have at least a few months to study for/take REG. I can wait a few weeks to get my score back March 19th, I just don't like burning time.

Personally I wouldn't switch to REG for a 15 day wait unless I was pretty comfortable that I passed, especially since FAR is generally considered the hardest it would be a good one to be the first in your 18 month window even if you do have to retake again but hopefully that won't be the case. I would take FAR, wait for the score and if passed move on to REG, if not redo FAR again while its fresh. Try watching a bonds video from someone other than your main study material (NINJA, YouTube, Farhat, etc…) sometimes having someone new explain something a slightly different way makes a world of difference. I used NINJA the part of my FAR review to supplement Rogers for concepts I struggled with and the fresh perspective made all the difference. Either way, good luck on the 4th!

Thanks Rose. I think I'll wait the two weeks and see if a FAR retake is necessary (hopefully not) even though two weeks of downtime bothers me.

After I finished AUD I was planning to wait until the score release to see if I needed to revisit or move on.
I also did not like the idea of 2 weeks of downtime so I started watching the REG videos.
I wasn't really studying too hard or doing any MCQs, but knocking out an hour or 2 of the 30+ hours of videos to tread water while I waited.
It worked out well for me, because I passed both my exams, and I ended up with a head start on REG.
