Suggestions for reviewing REG

Usually I’m pretty good of keeping track of Becker’s “heavily tested items” but today as I’m starting the Circular 230 lecture I realized that I haven’t kept track of any for REG. Does anyone have any suggestions or have a list of what Becker deems as heavily tested. I have a feeling they’re going to be things like basis and amt since I suck so much at those areas and it tends to be the ones that I’m the worst at that are always on my exams but if anyone else has some extra guidance or suggestions I’d appreciate it. I don’t want test questions, obviously, but I’m just looking for what Becker would have deemed as heavily tested, I’m not sure if anyone else kept track of those or if I was the only one that was doing it.

I would focus on entity taxation, deductions, credits, estates, and like-kind exchanges. But study everything because this exam is a fair game and it will hit you where it hurts! Usually if you see lots of MCQ per module in Becker, I think it's heavily tested:)

Oh boy… thank you for the suggestions. I guess it's time to start brushing up on my MCQ's. This thing is probably going to kill me.

and definitely have a basic understanding of how all the different forms flow for tax…everyone I've talked to says, expect at least 1 question about farming income

difference in at-risk and capital basis for partnerships

I think Becker does a good job with their “pass keys” to quote from one…

“The priority rules are perhaps the most heavily tested rules on the CPA exam when it comes to bankruptcy issues.” so pay attention to that.

obviously, you have to know way more stuff than just that.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

Definitely focus on individual, S-corp, C-corp, partnership, and property tax (i.e. 1231 gains/losses). This along is easily 40% of the exam. I would suggest going over all the REG areas as quickly as you can (taking all MCQs/TBS) and not repeating any you get wrong, just read why you got it wrong and move on. Then once you've done it all, then going over it again slowly. Trust me the second time you see it it will make so much more sense versus spending a week trying to perfect one chapter or subject area.

Are we no longer tested over commercial paper? I took Reg once years ago but haven't seen that as a topic in any of the sections so far.
