Surgent CPA Review ReadySCORE vs Actual Test? Safe to say I may be freaking out a little bit with my test coming up on Monday. Do you all find that the questions from the review course are similar to the ones in your CPA review?

I’m currently using Surgent CPA Review after failed attempts with Becker and Rogers and have my readySCORE at about an 80. Just hoping that it doesn’t give me false hope at a successful score.

    Thanks!

I've found the questions to be a little harder than the actual exam, across both Wiley and Ninja test banks. It sounds like you are prepared if you are running 80%

    AUD - 95
    BEC - 87
    FAR - 84
    REG - 90

I use Gleim and it is absolutely brutal. I hardly finish above a 70% on a study unit using Gleim. Below are my final review scores vs actual exam scores. I would think most CPA reviews are tougher than the actual exam but then again I've only ever used one.

FAR Final Review 58 Actual Exam 76
AUD Final Review 74 Actual Exam 81
BEC Final Review 69 Actual Exam 81

I passed all sections thus far first go and haven't had a retake yet. I would guess if you're scoring around 80 you should be ok!

    AUD - 81
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 76
    REG - 76

    For Wiley,

I've always done better on the real thing than the practice exam. Mine are below. Besides not fully replicating a real exam content, the practice exams can't replicate the feeling of sitting in another CPA exam. You try so much harder on the real thing. I am able to conjure up things from lessons in the actual test that I don't recall while doing the practice exams.

FAR practice tests: 55 and 60. Actual: 81
REG practice tests: 71 and 77: Actual 81
Aud practice tests : 77 and 72: waiting on score

    FAR-81 August 2018
    REG-81 November 2018
    AUD-83 January 2019
    BEC-91 March 2019

Most review courses use the same AICPA previously released questions, or they are baked into their test bank.
In my experience the Gleim TB was more difficult, especially the REG portion. Gleim tries to over prepare the candidate.
If you are scoring in the 80's I would think you should be ok on the exam.
If you fail this third time… it's not the review course, it's the way you are using it.
How many MCQs did you do for your first 2 attempts? Just curious.
