Hello all,

I’m currently working on studying for the FAR section but now my prep class (Becker self study thru Devry) for BEC has started. I feel I can prepare to take BEC vs FAR on Dec 8th this year. Has anyone ever changed prepping for one exam to another? Did it work out?

So you're not taking FAR, and just going to switch straight to BEC and take it December 8? I mean, you've got plenty of time, so I don't know why it can't be done. I'll switch from REG to BEC in a couple of weeks after I take REG next week, so that's kind of the same thing?

How far into studying for FAR are you? do you have a test scheduled? and where are you in your CPA process?

I've been studying FAR inconsistently for the month and a half. I haven't taken one test yet nor have I scheduled one. I'm torn on buckling down on FAR and taking it Dec or just switch to BEC because it feels a little more manageable for my life right now lol. I have go through the BEC material by the beginning of Dec to get a passing grade for tuition reimbursement. I figure I can get back to FAR after I get BEC out of the way, FAR is more than I can handle right now

don't do it!!!!! that's exactly what I did, passed Bec, time started ticking and now my worst nightmare is reality. I've failed far 3 times all with 73 and lost bec. my biggest regret is not passing far first. trust me you'll want to get the hardest longest exam (far) out of the way first before the clock starts. you can always pass Bec next.

Well is studying for FAR and BEC work if I wanted to take FAR Dec and BEC end of Jan?

if you take far in dec you'll find out your score in 9 days. I'd wait the 9 days and if you pass move on to Bec or continue with far if you don't.
