I’m taking REG tomorrow and I’m a bit nervous.

What topics should I spend the most time on in my last day of studying?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I am taking it tomorrow too! I took in August and got a 69 so I got the Ninja MCQ and have been doing those nonstop for 2 months. Good luck to you. My last minute studies are to make sure I know AMT and Corp AMT in and out!!!

I have not taken REG yet but I usually suffered from the research questions. Try getting yourself familiarized with the structure of the tax code so that you don't panic if they throw something funky at you tomorrow.

I have found a cover to cover textbook review very useful as well. Just flip through the pages, think of the rules/exceptions for that topic, and read what you cannot recall. It will increase your confidence and help remember the fundamentals.

Remember that there will be only few number of questions for each topic and there is only so much you can retain. I would not try to go too deep and learn difficult stuff at this point.

Stay calm, trust your knowledge and use your mind. The exam will be over tomorrow no matter what but it is up to you to set your attitude towards it.

Try stopping by the AICPA website, (www.aicpa.org) do the sample reg questions. Also follow their tutorial if you haven't already. I have reg on the 29th.. Best of luck to you.

@Mary, we are on the same page!! I am so scared of seeing AMT and Corp. AMT on my retake!! I was fortunate last time.. Fingers crossed. I still dont get those LMAO. Been doing Ninja too!! Good Luck, All and OP!

Re-read the questions carefully especially for the SIMS. There would be times where a bunch of info is given and most likely are fillers to confuse you!

Do you guys know a useful website for AMT and corp AMT?

How did it go Tomsmall3? I felt like the MC's were ok but some of the SIMS were tricky and on totally random things. Also, my last minute study suggestions were pointless as I didn't need to know any of that this time around….I hope that is not saying too much!!!

When I sat in August I left feeling great but this time I left and wanted to punch someone I was so angry. Hopefully that means I will get the opposite result but in the meantime gotta start cramming BEC since I am sitting for that in early December. Good luck!!!

Mary, I'm not really sure how it went, haha.

I felt really confident coming out of the first two testlets, there was definitely an increase in difficulty for the 3rd testlet.

The simulations, however, worry me. Though, I was very worried about the Audit sims and I got a 91.

So I really have no idea.
