I’m sure this has been covered, but does anyone know when the tax numbers change on the CPA exam (i.e. phase-outs, exemption amounts, etc for 2016 to 2017)? I believe I saw the 2017 tax rules will be reflected on the exam in July, but just want to get clarification.

Thanks for the post @Giano26. I am wondering the same thing. Which review course are you using? I am using Becker & Ninja Mcq and I believe Becker is updating the REG book within the next couple weeks from what I heard to list the 2017 amounts. I know specific amounts are not usually tested due to the changes every year but I still want to study with the most updated version for consistency.

Becker said they are updating their study materials if you are testing after July 1…So I am assuming the OP guess is right….

First half of 2017, use tax numbers of 2016. For the second half of 2017, use 2017 numbers.
