Testing Windows exam differences

Are tests significantly different every window? I realized that for quarter 4 FAR exam experience forums a lot of people were showing similar experiences with the test (e.g: know gov/nfp very very well it can be 40-50% of the exam, SIMS not so terribly difficult)

Is it known that for each testing window or quarter exams change dramatically or is that unknown?

I just took FAR in November and failed but i am not sure if i should fully concentrate on the things that were in the exam that i didnt fully know or concentrate on EVERYTHING overall againI am taking it again in a couple of weeks and trying to manage my time wisely.

    Thanks

I took AUD 3x and every time the exam was completely different, didn't even resemble the previous test.

I've taken FAR 5 times total, so every quarter of the year and 2 in Q4. there wasn't anything I hadn't at least seen (except a handful of questions across all 5 tests) as far as what topic was covered. I don't remember seeing the exact same question, but do remember seeing very similar questions.

    like:

what are the 4 parts of the CPA exam?

    and

which of the following is NOT 1 of the 4 parts of the CPA exam?

and in 1 testlet I had 2 questions that asked the same thing different ways. that was weird.

    BEC - 8/8/16
    REG - 66, 77
    AUD - 81
    FAR - 9/8/16

I felt that my first FAR exam was manageable but the MCQs got me. The second exam, it felt a lot different and maybe a little harder? To be honest though, the only way to pass FAR, I feel, is to understand every topic. Don't memorize, like go through each section and study as if you would make sure you understand the topic enough to make an educated guess on the question.
