NINJA Question –
Hi Everyone:
Although I didn’t post here regularly, I would like to share my experience with anyone that wants to read it. I started my CPA journey last year around this time and I had a goal to complete the exam in 6 months (it didn’t happen because of life, however if you tally up the months I studied for each exam it really took six and a half)! While researching different CPA exam prep companies I stumbled upon A71 and the NINJA exam review. Thank God I did!I decided to buy NINJA product after reading Jeff’s story (I found it admirable that he was able to keep up with his church commitments and family). I bought the NINJA Ten point combo while Jeff had his amazing BOGO sale going on. For each exam, I only copied the NINJA notes, listened to NINJA audio (My favorite was AUD when Jeff went over TIMMAYYY and his little sister) and NINJA MCQ (I practiced SIMS for AUD but once I took the exam, I ditched all practice SIMS).
Now my scores are not the greatest, but they are all passing and it only took one try each exam! Here’s how long I studied and my exam results.
Keep in mind that I made sure to get to the review stage for each section. My study days were mostly M-W from 6pm-10pm.
AUD: December – January Tested January 16th – 76
BEC: January-February Tested February 27th – 75In March, I was in a wedding so I looked at nothing CPA related for the month
REG: April – May Tested May 28th – 76
OK, I might have taken an extended summer break here.
FAR: September – Tested Oct 1st – 79
All in all, NINJA product works! For FAR I bought the NINJA plus software with the late and great Bob Monette and those videos are amazing! I wasn’t into the 40 hour lectures per section, or the highlighting and underlining (it works for some people). Bob was a great teacher. And the handouts he referred to were not missed at all! I wish they were available when I first started, I probably would have included those in my studying.
My advice to anyone taking the exam is TRUST IN GOD. Have faith in Him and know that you HAVE to get your CPA license which means that you HAVE to finish the exam. God is going to help you get there. Just trust Him.
Thank you Jeff, for being obedient to God’s plans for your life and starting what is now (to me at least)the BEST CPA review program, there’s nowhere but up from here. God bless your company and your family. Thank you A71 community for posting questions and the constant support to others. I wish you all the best! Now to get to 150 hours. Any suggestions?? They are greatly appreciated!!
Be blessed.
