Hey all, trying to keep the flame alive here. Has anyone had a really bad FAR experience (heavy computational all the way, tricky, etc) and left with a total fail feeling yet found out they passed?

I think everyone feels like they failed when they walk out of an exam no matter what. I thought for sure I failed FAR, and as you can see from my score, I wasn't even close to failing.

    BEC: 88 (8/27/13)
    FAR: 93 (12/3/13)
    REG: 92 (2/27/14)
    AUD: 95 (4/22/14)

FAR was the first one I took. I legitimately considered standing up and walking out of the testing room during the test! For one of the SIMs I didn't even bother going through the two different ways of calculating the information (don't want to be too specific about what it was asking), just figured it out one way and put the same numbers for both methods – figured I'd pick up at least a few points for some of it. Got a 75. I know exactly how you feel walking out of that one!!

    FAR - 75
    AUD - 72; 87
    REG - 64; 74; 84
    BEC - 88

    Done!!

I actually did not pass FAR yet but on my first attempt when I got 71, I was expecting mid 50's. Second time I thought I did better, and got 68. Who knows dude..everything is possible.

    FAR - 71, 68, 74, (8/31/14) 78 ✔
    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔
    BEC - (11/29/14) 86 ✔
    AUD - 73, (4/4/15) 86 ✔

Took FAR 3 times. This last time was the worst. The thought of just leaving did cross my mind, very breifly… It was awful! I couldn't sleep on score release day, I was so worried. And I ended up with an 82! Still recovering from not sleeping though and I've looked at my score and score report multiple times per day since. I can't beleive it! An 82?!

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

Thank you all for your posts, this is encouraging.

I took FAR yesterday for the 2nd time and it was AWFUL! The first time I felt better about it than this time; I feel like passing would be a miracle. I've decided to continue to do MCQ until I get the score, just in case.

Throughout the test I wanted to get up and walk out, I had to talk myself out of it several times. (You're already here, just do it – it'll be more embarrasing to tell everyone that you walked out rather than failing). I almost guessed all throughout the 1st testlet and went into SIMS with only an hour and didn't get to finish 🙁

I studied my rear off Since 1st week in January 4 hours a day plus weekends. And the material I spent sooooo much time on- the really hard stuff didn't really come up. It was like I had studied all the hard stuff, was tested on the easy stuff and was just freaking out the entire time. I cried all the way home…

    AUD: 82* Expired; 90
    BEC: 77
    REG: 72,87
    FAR: 72, 68, 87

TxMBA- You and I still both have a shot of passing it. Doing well on the MCQ's, partial credit on the sims and some faith can propel us to a 75. It can be done. I am past the point of feeling bad, I now want my grade so I can know if I need to cut far's head off with a sword or If I already did it on Tuesday.

TxMBA – try to relax over the next week and put it out of your mind until next Friday. I know easier said than done. Hang in there!

I feel for sure like I didn't pass FAR… But that is the way these exams go I guess. I thought I failed Audit for sure and passed. No joke I was POSITIVE I had failed. Same for REG and BEC too. Good luck to everyone

Actually the sims helped me on my first FAR attempt when I scored 71. The second attempt they destroyed me. Depends on the topics and format.

    REG - 67, 71, 71, (10/18/14) 78 ✔

It sucks because I know that my sims will come out weak :/ I knew that if I wanted to pass my sims needed to be atleast comparable

It's very doable to get comparable on sims if the questions are straight to the point, the problem is when you are not sure what they are asking. Like Journal Entries are pretty straight forward so hope for that.

I hoped for that on my exam on tuesday and only ended up getting one! I would aced it if it were just journal entries. I feel confident about 2 or so but thats about it.
