I have passed all 4 sections, and a partner at my firm signed off on my hours. I submitted my application for my license to the state of Idaho about two weeks ago. I expected an answer back by now. How long do they usually take to process an application for initial license.

I got my final passing score on November 4, 2016. I sent in my application, and paid the application fee on December 12, 2016. I'm in Michigan, and they only process applications once every three months, when they received the passing scores from NASBA on January 17th, April 15th, July 15th, and October 15th. The state takes about another week after that, to post the results online, and mail out the certificates. I'm not sure if Idaho follows the same schedule, but I'm sure it will take at least 30 days before you hear anything unless you call them. I have been calling the State of Michigan once a week since December 12th, hoping maybe I would get something earlier, but nothing yet. The last time I called last week, they said I should receive everything in the mail by January 31st.

    AUD - 83
    BEC - 79
    FAR - 77
    REG - 90
CMA Part 1 - 360 (Barely made it but I made it)
CMA Part 2 - 360 (Made it by the skin of my teeth)

    REG - 74, Retook 6/10/16, scored a 72 (Hate this exam)
    BEC - 69, 79, 8/1/15
    AUD - 83, 4/4/15
    FAR - 77, 2/27/16

Definately depends on the state but very few issue license numbers in 2 weeks or less. In MA you have to wait for the next board meeting so it could be anywhere from 3 weeks to 3 months depending on when sent in.

By the way you're impatient, inpatient means you're in the hospital 😉 which if it is the case……..maybe thats the reason lol.

Have you tried to lookup your cpa license number online? I found myself in the MA database before I received anything in the mail.

Some states move much faster than others. Here in Alabama I passed on 09/05/16 and was certified on 10/28/16. That was after I sent all the application items to my state board before they could send me the congratulations packet, which is generally a month or so down the road.

If you can, it's much simpler to send the registration items needed before they send you the packet.
