    Hi All
I have made some progress on how to solve SIMs of Audit exam.Making notes on patterns of Audit SIMU .So far I am able to solve most of Becker’s and Wiley’s Audit SIM using my new tricks.Earlier I used to be scared of Audit SIM .I would try that on REG or FAR.
If it works in exam ( 5th Dec ,Monday ) I will share the tricks of Audit SIM on this forum.Feeling relieved.Stay tuned.

    Nath-

I'm very interested to hear about your tricks for Audit SIMS. I, too, am taking Audit on December 5 and could really benefit from your tricks!! This is my final section and I have already taken Audit twice. If you could please share your trick before Monday that would be so helpful! Thank you!!

Here's a trick. Get to the sims with 2.25 hours remaining and a decent understanding of the material. Look up anything you aren't sure about in the AI.

4/4 in 10 months while working full time and having a wife and kid. It can be done!

@Over_it , there is no substitute for your tips.I am just trying to categorize them into types and then writing some rules how to handle a type. But conceptual knowledge of each chapter and time (2 hours at least ) is required.

I always found that the only way to prepare for them is to just prepare yourself and know the material well. The practice SIMS from Becker were alright, but the test ones were totally different. I would focus on practicing the MCQ and getting that down packed. Those will be more similar to the actual exam in my experience

I received a 71 on last AUD retake and was comparable in MC with only one weaker section of MC but weaker in SIMS. I feel like I would have passed if I id better on SIMS or scored around 85% on MC section. What is the best way to get over the hump in SIMS? I was able to look up at least two via AL almost word for word but the research question was vague and I could've missed that. I want to ensure myself at least an 80 when I retake the exam in Jan. Any advice would help, thanks.

I am curious as well, I only had one area in my MCQ that was weak and my only other area was the SIMS. Obviously I will hit those much harder this time, but I really didn't think I did THAT bad on them…… Any helpful opinions would be most welcome, I do have a good understanding of the material. I was wondering if actually practicing looking up in the AL while working on SIMS would be helpful? Has anyone did this?

The only way to practice the AL is answering a ton of research questions, which from NINJA and Roger, there were a lot. I would be familiar with how you can look report examples as well, might get that as a sim.

I think to pass AUD, you must conquer assertions. How it works, what it relates to, and how you would use it to test. I would be a lot more helpful but my mind is too focused on REG right now. >.<”
