    Hi everyone,

I took FAR today. Unfortunately, I could not finish the last SIM and left it blank as there was no time left. I’m failed now? Any pass scores after leaving 1 SIM blank?

If you pass the exam after leaving a whole simulation blank, you would be the very first person in the entire history of the CPA exam to pass a section without completing every testlet.
On the record, you are going to make history because you passed.

Sure, it's definitely possible to pass. Likely, it's even probable if you feel you did decent on the rest of the exam. On FAR, there are 7 SIMs (6 that count and 1 pre-test) which make up 50% of the grade. An oversimplification is to state that likely you only missed out on around 8.33% of the possible points (50%*(1/6)). Also, can always hope the one you skipped is pre-test. Nothing to do at this point- forget about it and move on to the next section!.

I left 1 blank and still passed. Its not an ideal situation but don't stress about it because you never know how they're going to grade it!

@green…the exam was not that super hard honestly…at least almost all the questions were familiar (even the one that I left blank was an easy one)…I use Becker too. MCQ part of Becker is really good and close to real (at least for FAR, I have not taken other exams yet). For SIMs, the only thing that Becker misses is the number of charts & additional information. So if you spend 5-10 minutes for Becker SIM, it may take 15-20 minutes in real exam. Not because of the complexity, just because of load of information. But I'm satisfied with quality of Becker, the course really prepares well. I just regret not to have better speed to complete all parts of real exam.

I see you took REG & BEC already, I hope Becker is good for these parts too?

next time just prefill the entire testlet with 0's then come back and work as much as you can. Several of the cells are usually 0 anyway and those count for points.

Is it likely a pretest SIM would be in the last testlet?

Green – if you study thoroughly with Becker, and you feel decent about your practice, you should do great. I agree about the FAR sims and Becker. The actuals werenā€™t harder, but it was more like a few Becker sims put together as one. More information, still the prep got you ready. Good luck, sounds like youā€™re on the right track!
