    I took FAR yesterday. I studied for more than 300 hours but in the end I think I messed up with the test. The first 4 testlets were like a piece of cake and I did really well except for the research question , but I ended up spending way much time than required. In the last testlet, I completed approx. 1.5 sim and ended up leaving 1.5 sim completely blank because I ran out of time. Please advice what are the chances of me passing the test. I have it my all and I knew it all except for the time management. This is my last section and I didnā€™t expect to end this way.

    Thanks for the advice

    I just used becker for my study. I was able to comfortably pass all 3 sections on the first try by using only becker. Hoping for a pass on FAR too!!

    @wannabcpa19 Awesome! I just got my becker materials and gonna start studying. Did you find “skills practice” helpful when preparing for exams?

    OP – how do you know you didn't miss a single MCQ?! Nobody ever knows how they did for sure…unless your score was in the high 90s, then you probably knew exactly what 1-2 MCQ you might've missed, or what 1-2 boxes you might have not filled in correctly.

    Thanks for relaying about 8 SIMs on FAR. They waffled back and forth between 8 and 9 SIMs for awhile there and they decided on 8 (I was thinking it was 8 plus the research question.) I'm actually looking forward to re-taking that one later this year…it was one of those situations where, when I took it, the exam was quite eye-opening for me and I realized exactly what I needed to do next time. Stupidly, I moved on to AUD without taking FAR again in the next window. Vivite et noscite….live and learn.

    This actually addresses a good question…has anyone gotten a score in the mid-80s or higher and you got “WEAKER” on any of the broken-down sections of the test?
    I don't know what to make of the score reports… I had a 62 on my last BEC attempt and yet i had a few STRONGER's, a few COMPARABLE's, and only one “WEAKER”.
    The WEAKER was on the SIMs (I left one SIM testlet blank, ran out of time, so no big surprise there.) I do think it's interesting that the score report compares us with people who were in the
    “barely passing” range of 75-80.

    I used skills practice just for AUD and REG. I think its a good way to summarize our understanding.

    @crazyleon

    MCQā€™s were the easiest compared to other three parts.I could have expected in high 90ā€™s, but as I bombed my SIMs, I just hope for a passing score . CA, still waiting.

    82 on FAR!!!! First time ended up getting weaker on a area, maybe because I didnā€™t attempt SIMs of that area, but finally I am done!!! Yay!!!

    Wait how do you know if you got “weaker” in an area?

    AUD - 84
    BEC - 84
    FAR - 82

    @Nate

    Some states give out a score report regardless of pass/fail others only provide it if you didn't pass.

    BEC - Passed September 2016

    AUD - Passed December 2016

    REG - Passed May 2017

    FAR - Passed March 2018

    @Von

    I just read the SIMs 2 days before the test, but I read whole syllabus multiple times and did lots of MCQs for all the sections

    @anyatver @Amor @sacpa. Thanks!!

    @Nate

    In CA, you get the break up of our performance in all the areas, regardless of pass/fail

    You practiced SIMS 2 days before the test? You didn't really do much SIMS then did you?
